ANNOUNCEMENTS

It’s an election year. Residents of Parkway Village polling place is Audubon Elementary.

Dear Parkway Village Residents,

As you know, Parkway Village is more than a neighborhood. We operate as one of only 80 incorporated ‘home rule’ cities within Jefferson County. There are a number of benefits to living and owning a home in a ‘home rule’ city, including lower taxes, more accessibility to your elected leaders, and less bureaucracy which leads to faster results. But with all of these benefits also comes an individual responsibility for our residents to participate. We must keep our Mayor, Treasurer, and four Commissioners positions filled to remain in compliance with Kentucky statute or we risk losing our designation as an independent city. We are currently looking for one Commissioner now and at least two Commissioner positions to be filled next year. Commissioners are required to attend the city’s monthly meetings and assist in the management of the city. We encourage anyone that has an interest in serving the city to please consider running. We are also in need of a city attorney. If you are interest in becoming a Commissioner or the attorney for Parkway Village please contact one of our current Commissioners Amanda Cain 502-541-8823.

Keeping our city independent is up to all of us!
